That cheese - that chalk

I've been pushing out the boat my friends

Burning candles from both ends

I'd like to say that I'd make amends

But it don't pay no dividends

and I want to be free

I've trying to bite down on my tongue

Resist the urge to smack you one

As you trot out some old cliche

and pass it off as verite

I've been sucking up your hot, hot air

For so long I no longer care

Listening to your bullshit all day long

Listening to that tired old song

I've been crying like a baby, man

Throwing toys right out the pram

Acting like the macho man

Lapping up the misery

and I want to be free
